Today in Gazhistan, potable water is becoming scarce, wild animals are disappearing, the air is becoming unbreathable, diseases are gnawing at us, polluted soils no longer nourish us, we are being expropriated, it is time to leave, but where to? This is the formidable problem posed by the public debate on shale gas exploitation in the territories we live in. And how to photograph what has not yet happened? The chosen approach is to imagine what our country would be like if shale gas and oil were exploited, through anticipatory staging not far from a distressing reality, already at work on other continents. This photographic work is situated in this in-between where everything becomes possible.
