Dystopia
Despite the efforts of climate skeptics, global warming is now emerging as a challenge for all of humanity. In Europe, greenhouse gas emissions attributable to agriculture represented 462 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2) in 2007. Agriculture is the largest source of nitrous oxide (N2O) released from nitrogen fertilizers and methane (CH4) due to the digestion process of livestock and the storage of manure. Furthermore, agricultural activities also release carbon dioxide due to the use of fuel for construction, equipment and machines.*
