Simon and Marie must pay monthly payments to the bank to repay the credit on their house but favor barter and the exchange of services, particularly for food - necessarily local. The “June” is presented as the “first free currency” by its promoters. Fiat currencies lead to placing trust in banks. “June” currency is not the product of a state or a bank – it is created directly by “real people” and their “real wallets”. The creation of free money is distributed equitably among all members of the community, in space and time. Whatever the place but also whatever the time, each member creates the same portion of currency, throughout their life. Cryptocurrencies are currencies based on decentralized blockchain technology. Most known cryptocurrencies are designed to be particularly speculative. Their creation is often reserved for people who have the technical or financial means.
