Grande commande photographique - Radioscopy of France: views on a country affected by the health crisis - BnF - summer and autumn 2022
In August 2021, the law reinforcing respect for the principles of the Republic, known as the "law against separatism", was passed. Although this law was intended to prevent the risks of religious drift, it quickly became known for its potential infringements on individual freedoms: the freedom of home schooling, freedom of association and political activism, freedom to act according to one's convictions. Who are, far from clichés, those who intend to turn their backs on the State and its institutions to live "separated"? With the writer Marion Messina, we set out to meet those who have chosen to leave the system to found their counter-society, through rooting, returning to the land, isolation, hunting practices, and the quest for autonomy in an eco-resilient thought current. This series was realized in various nuclei of individual, familial, or collective resistance in Cantal, Aveyron, Lot, and Gard.
